Privacy notice
This notice explains what MM Residency does with your personal data, and applies to this website and to a stay at the hotel. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who is responsible
MM Residency, No. 31/3 to 31/5, Kalanivasal, Sekkalai Road, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu 630002, is the data fiduciary for the data described here.
What we collect, and why
To take and hold a booking: your name, telephone number, email address, arrival and departure dates and the number of guests. Without these we cannot hold a room for you.
To check you in: the government photo ID required by Indian law, and for foreign nationals a passport and visa. This is a legal obligation, not a choice either of us has.
To answer an enquiry: whatever you put in the enquiry or event form on this website, including your message. We ask for your consent on the form before we use it to reply.
To run and bill the stay: the charges you incur, the room you occupied, and your GSTIN if you give us one for the invoice.
To keep the site working: basic technical information such as the pages requested and the referring site. We do not sell this or use it to build a profile of you.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. It is seen by our own staff who need it to run your stay, by the software and hosting providers that run our booking and property-management systems on our instructions, and by government authorities where the law requires it - including the guest register the police may inspect.
How long we keep it
Website enquiries are kept for one year and then deleted automatically. Booking and billing records are kept for as long as tax and hospitality law requires, currently eight years from the end of the financial year. Identity documents collected at check-in are kept only for the period the law requires us to hold the guest register.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal data of yours we hold, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to erase it where we are not required to keep it, withdraw a consent you gave us, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Tell us and we will act on it - there is no charge.
Grievances
Our grievance officer is the Hotel Manager, MM Residency. Write to manager@mmresidency.co.in or call +91 95009 97585, and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Cookies
This site sets only the cookies needed to keep a booking session working. It does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.
Changes
If this notice changes we will publish the new version on this page.
